In addition to the various nightclubs, pool parties and strip clubs on the Strip, Vegas is home to a ton of other things to do and explore – especially if you're in town with family members or a group that isn't keen on all the nightlife options.
Being in the desert there is a lot of wide-open space for various activities that make it possible to create several fun opportunities. You can shoot some pretty awesome machine guns at a shooting range, go sky diving, race exotic cars around an actual racetrack, race go karts, or go hiking at the popular trails in Red Rock National Park.
Or… you could rent a bunch of ATVs with your friends and tear around the desert for a few hours – the perfect outdoor activity for thrill-seekers who don't want to leap out from a perfectly good airplane 10,000 feet (like me).
What is an ATV?
All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are defined as motorized off-highway vehicles, commonly known as four-wheelers or quads/quad bikes. They are meant to be single-person vehicles (or larger ones where passengers can sit behind the driver). ATVs are meant to be taken off-road or on dirt roads – which means these babies are awesome for zooming around in the desert!
ATV Tours in Las Vegas
All of the tours available are given by a professional guide who will show you the ins and outs of operating your vehicle in the desert terrain. Depending on your skill level, your guide will go as fast or as slow as you are comfortable; their job is to show you a good time while ensuring that safety comes first!
We are partnered with several ATV Tour companies in town, so you will always be able to get some of the best rates available and pick which trail you'd like to take your ATV tour on. The most popular by far is the exciting Nellis Dunes track. However, you might want a more scenic experience driving around the Lake Mead trail.
We have a full range of ATVs available (from 250cc to 450cc vehicles) that will match any rider's skill level, as well as professional and patient guides who will make sure you feel at ease blasting through the dunes!

UTV and Dune Buggy Tours
While ATVs are primarily for single-person use, ATV companies might also have UTV and dune buggy options available in their fleet.
Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs) are commonly known as Side-by-Sides (or SXS) because it is large enough to have a passenger sit on the side of the driver (as opposed to a passenger clinging for life to the back of the driver of an ATV). Recreational UTVs are a cross between an ATV and a dune buggy.
Dune Buggies are recreational 4-wheeled vehicles with oversized tires; think of something that looks closer to a Volkswagen Beetle.
Both allow passengers to ride and are safer to operate as they typically – especially UTVs – have roll cages in place if the vehicle tips over.
If this is something you're interested in, we have options available for that as well!

Las Vegas ATV/UTV Rental FAQ:
What should I wear when I take an ATV tour?
Wear something comfortable and loose-fitting that allows for the desert heat, especially if you're riding in the middle of the summer.
Long pants are recommended, though you can wear shorts if you'd like. Closed-toe shoes only; no flip flops or sandals allowed.
I would also highly recommend bringing a bandana or a gaiter to cover your nose and mouth to protect you from breathing in sand and dust as you ride through the desert.
Do I need to bring anything to the tour?
We recommend leaving all valuables at home or in your hotel before you ride.
Backpacks are acceptable.
Make sure you bring a camera (or at least charge your phone) – you won't want to miss taking photos and videos of your experience in the desert.
What is the cancellation policy?
There is a 72-hour cancellation policy in place.
IMPORTANT: If you show up under the influence of drugs/alcohol, you will not be permitted to ride – NO REFUNDS.
