Foundation Room

The Foundation Room is a unique entry to the Las Vegas Nightclub scene. High atop the 63rd floor of Mandalay Bay is an impressive 3-in-one combination venue: a fine dining restaurant, a sophisticated nightclub, and an exclusive membership-only venue. This hybrid draws a much more mature and sophisticated crowd. Unlike many other nightclubs in Sin City, the Foundation Room opens early at 5 PM as a happy hour bar and restaurant. This early opening allows guests to catch the jaw-dropping view of the sun setting over the vast Nevada desert while toasting glasses of champagne and watching the glistening lights begin to shine down below on The Strip.

The Club is owned and operated by the group that manages the House of Blues, so they often host after-parties for concerts. It's not unlikely to run into a well-known artist or a celebrity. The Foundation Room is a perfect way to soak in the world-famous Las Vegas nightclub scene.

Where is Foundation Room Las Vegas located?

The rooftop is inside The Mandalay Bay Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, which sits on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, making it an easy commute for any guest staying on The Strip. Its street address is 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89119
The club's entrance is located on the main floor of the hotel. For guests entering the building from the walkways that connect Mandalay to its neighboring hotels, the Infamous elevators would be the first thing they see as they first pass the main entry doors.
Pro Tip #1: Get dropped off at the main Mandalay Valet, the entrance is right beyond the main entry doors

Music Programing and Events

Management always comes up with some creative events. Artist bookings tend to lean a little more on hip hop and open format music side. However they do toss in some hip hop night with DJ Sincere and some Top 40 nights with Sam I Am, Music is still a huge part of Foundation Room events, with popular artists such as Billy Idol and other bands, joining the fun after their House of Blues Concerts. Their Industry Sunday party is solid we book a lot of tables there for that night.
How much is it to get into Foundation Room?
General admission tickets vary from event to event, with bigger headliners commanding higher price points (anywhere from $20-$30 for female tickets and $30-$75 for male tickets). Keep in mind that prices online are typically not the same as the price at the door; club management will always have the final say on what they want to charge you if you don't buy a ticket before doors open. Prices typically do not fluctuate that much for Foundation Room tickets unless it's a holiday weekend, or they have a huge headliner.
EVENT PRICING: |
Males $20 - $50+ |
Females $20 - $50+ |
NON-EVENT PRICING: |
Males $20+ |
Females $20+ |
If you don't want to deal with the hassle of sorting out entry into the venue on your own, we offer a seamless process and fantastic packages, including hosted VIP entry into the club by one of our VIP Hosts. See Our Cheap Bottle PackagesFoundation Room Guestlist vs. Presale Tickets: What's better?

Getting on the Guestlist is a FREE SERVICE to sign up for, but here's the catch: You have to get there early in exchange for free or discounted entry (depending on the guestlist rules for that event). In the case of a big headliner where online prices are sky-high, and guests are getting in for free on the Foundation Room guest list, you can be sure that the lines to get in on the list will be out the door. In this case, it's always advisable to arrive early before doors open to secure your spot at the head of the line.
Here's what you can expect on the guest list:
Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: |
Males – Free Entry before 1 am check-in |
Females – Free Entry before 1 am check-in |
Friday/Saturday: |
Males – Free or Discounted Admission (depends on headliner – early arrival recommended) |
Females – Free Entry (early arrival recommended) |
*Early arrival is required for Saturday events, especially with big headliners. Guestlist details are subject to capacity – if the club hits near capacity with the lines outside still full of people, the club may decide to start charging people early.
Suppose you're planning on attending a big event and can't get there early. In that case, you might want to look into purchasing General Admission tickets in advance to avoid paying the inflated price at the door and to guarantee your entry. Pre-purchased tickets automatically guarantee access to the venue; the Guestlist does not!
Get Foundation Room TicketsPro Tip: Club guestlists are geared more toward female patrons. All-female groups typically have a little more leeway in terms of arrival time on big nights, while groups with males in their party might not have the same time luxury. Contact your Exploring Las Vegas host to find out what the best course of action is for your group.
Exploring Las Vegas Insider Tip: Did you know that some nightclubs offer an open bar for ladies? It's true! Check out our complete guide to Las Vegas Open Bar Deals.
What Does Foundation Bottle Service Cost?

The Venue has several areas within the club that offer different pricing tiers for bottle service:
Main Room Lower Dance Floor - $S |
Private Suites- $$$ |
Mandalay Patio- $$ |
Balcony Edge Tables- $ |
Sunrise Patio - $ |
Each area has several tables that have varying minimum spends. On a non-peak night, a table in the main room area might start at $500 minimum spend but could just as quickly go for $1500 on a busier night.
Pro Tip: Not all locations are created equal. Be sure to view the guide below to see which table is right for you and your party, or contact one of our VIP Hosts for additional recommendations.
Table Service Locations
One of the best things about booking at Foundation Room is that their pricing minimums don't fluctuate as much as their competitors do, and at typically lower prices, too – meaning you get more bang for your buck, and you're more than likely getting the exact location you want without any surprises. Entry-level locations typically start at $500 minimums no matter the night and depending on how big the performers are, you can get a pretty good location for $750+, which is pretty low for a popular Vegas club.
Pro Tip: While there is a perfect location for every group, below are some short insights into the different table areas and what to expect inside the venue.

There is not a bad table at Foundation Room. There is plenty of room to move around the tables, they are all pretty good for large groups, and all the Main Floor Tables have security at the center of the Club, so unwanted guests are not allowed into your area.
Main Lounge Table

There are several options inside, including some booths and some tables. On any given night, they are very reasonable and roomy and can accommodate 8 to 10 guests. For not much more than a couple of rounds of drinks, you can get a bottle and a table and be comfortable all night.
Mandalay Patio Tables

When the weather is beautiful, most of the action will be out on the Patio because who doesn't love to dance with a view. Of course, if it's windy or cold, more people will be inside. Fortunately, Las Vegas is blessed with favorable weather, and most of the time, the Patio is the place to be.
Mandalay Patio Strip View Tables

These tables are a little smaller than the booths against the wall, but they have a fantastic view of The Strip. I would recommend four to six people tops at these tables. Let us know if you'd like us to secure one for you.
Sunrise Patio Tables

Similar to The Mandalay Patio Tables, these booths are good for 10 to 12 people. On some nights, they keep the Sunrise Patio for Members Only. There's a great view so consider one of these tables for a more intimate setting.
Dining Area and Private Dining Rooms

There are four rooms that are typically used for private dining – the 1856 Room, the Gothic Dining Room, the Media Room, and the seated Foundation Dining Room. Each room has a different theme and is ideal for a larger group looking to have an exclusive dinner. They serve fantastic food at this restaurant. We will be happy to secure a dinner and bottle service reservation for you.
Private Suites for Bottle Service

There are a couple of decked-out private rooms attached to the lounge. Sometimes these are available for rental to the public. They're both themed; one is called the Buddha Suite, and the other is the Ganesh suite. As you can see by the picture, they are super cool so let us know if you'd like to reserve one for your group.
The Shangri La Room

There is another room on the same floor that is perfect for corporate events or weddings. The room is called the Shangri La Room. We talk more about corporate bookings below but keep this in mind for your group.
Members Only Section

The Foundation Room has a membership program; there are some perks of having a room not available to the public. Another exclusive area is the after-parties with artists and private events. If you're interested in membership, just let us know.
What is Bottle Service?

Bottle Service is the ultimate clubbing experience. It's where you and your party sit at a reserved table and enjoy VIP service at some of Vegas' hottest nightclubs. Simply put, it's an arrangement that eliminates you having to stand in long lines in front of a crowded bar waiting to order drinks; instead, the club provides a private table or booth and personalized service. Once you have purchased bottles of your favorite alcohol, they are served tableside by your personal cocktail server with all the appropriate mixers.
What is a "minimum"? Do I have to pay for a table separately from bottles?

Clubs often operate on a minimum spend requirement (or "min," for short) system for their table reservations. The customer must either reach or exceed the amount set for their minimum spend. While the table is not charged separately, the better the location, the higher the minimum spend requirement.
To reach this minimum requirement, the customer can order anything from the beverage menu (bottled alcohol, cases of beer, bottled water, Red Bulls, etc., all count toward your minimum requirement).
Group size could also be a factor in raising your minimum spend. The larger your group, the more accommodations the venue has to make to provide the same VIP experience to its customers. For example, a party of 15-20 people will require a larger space than the typical customer and require more staff service; thus, their minimum would be much higher than a customer coming in with five people.
Are the Mixers Free with Bottles? Yes, mixers come with bottle service. Red Bulls and bottled water are extra, but the standard mixers such as cranberry, pineapple, orange juice, soda water, coke, and tonic are all part of the table deal.
Bottle service is It Worth it?

Absolutely and without a doubt! It is the ultimate clubbing experience. While venturing onto the dance floor and exploring the venue are memorable experiences on their own, nothing is quite like being able to return to your own area, away from the crowd, and enjoy the artists' stunning performances. If your budget allows for it, I highly suggest booking Bottle Service. If you are a group of guys trying to pull girls or vice versa, tables are the best way to help that process.
How many bottles do you get with bottle service?

Truthfully, as many as you can fit into your minimum. Bottle prices start at $450 and vary in price depending on whether you want a specific type of alcohol or a larger bottle. For example, suppose you have a $1,000 minimum and don't want to go over that minimum. In that case, you could theoretically get about two bottles worth (assuming you order the $450 ones) and fill the remaining minimum ($100) with small orders of beer/bottled water/Red Bull/etc. Let your host know ahead of time, and we will coordinate with your server depending on your preference!
What is the tip for bottle service?
What you actually want to know is, "How much does bottle service really cost after fees?" Assuming you have a $1000 minimum booked (and don't go over that total), here's how the final bill would break down:
$1000 (Min Spend) |
$83.75 (Nevada sales tax is 8.375%) |
$0 (0% venue tax) |
$180 (18% tip to the server) |
$0 (Podium Handshake for Specific Table) |
Total:$1263.75 |

How do I make a reservation, and can I choose my section?

We make reservations simple - fill out a form, and one of our VIP Hosts will be in touch shortly to go over your options. The Club's management determines where to seat each confirmed table reservation. We call this " plotting the room ". Once again, the higher your minimum, the better the location. We can request and promise specific table locations based on customer requests. Here's a couple of things that can help us deliver on our promises:
- Arrive on time! We can secure your preferred table, but we cannot ask the venue to hold it the entire night, waiting for you to show up.
- Agree to the recommended minimum for your preferred location. If you want a dance floor table, we can make that happen, provided you agree to the required minimum spend it takes to book it.
- Agree to a podium handshake for express entry and a specific table
What if my guests arrive late?

Ideally, you want to have the whole group together when you walk to your table. However, we understand that sometimes life (or at least a crazy Vegas life) gets in the way. Suppose your table has already entered and is sitting; in that case, the person joining you can go up to the host standing at the table reservation line and give your table number plus the name the table is booked under (you can find out your table number by asking your server or security staff if you are unsure).
How do I order a bottle presentation?

You must have a significant reservation booked (usually around $1000 or more) and purchase a bottle of champagne to qualify for the presentation. Let your VIP Host know, and one of us will be happy to communicate this request to your server.
What is a Promoter Girl Guy Host?

Let's say you are a group of guys who want to buy bottle service. A girl guy's job is to approach your table and ask if you would like him to round up some girls to help fill out your table…for a tip (we call that "handshakes" in the industry). He then does the legwork of recruiting girls around the venue to introduce them to your table. The girls are happy they get to join a table, your group is happy that there are girls at your table, and the girl guy walks away happy with a handshake. Everybody wins!
But before you employ any venue's girl guy, be sure to ask your Exploring Las Vegas VIP Host (like me) first. We will have plenty of Vegas girls in town on any given weekend and will most likely know a few at this particular venue that we can invite to your table. If your group and the girls don't mesh for whatever reason, we can always ask the girl guy to try their hand at it.
We also offer atmosphere models for a group of guys who might be a little “rusty” or just want some pretty Vegas party girls to hang out with at the table and keep them entertained. A good rule of thumb is a $100 an hour per girl for a 4-hour minimum.
What is the Cost of Drinks?

Drinks vary in price at the bar; prices fall slightly below the industry standard of having most mixed drinks ranging from $10 - $15 per drink, and Beers from $8 - $10 each. Individual bottles start at $400 and up for a 1-Liter. Premium 1L Bottles start at $475 for a 1-Liter bottle of Absolut Vodka while other Premium One Liter Bottles, like Grey Goose are $525 and Patron is $500 each
Bachelor Party Packages

What is the Dress Code?

As with any nightclub in Las Vegas, there is a dress code. Business casual or formal attire is preferred and recommended! Shorts, sandals, hats, Timberlands, boots, baggy pants, jean shorts, and sweatpants are not allowed. They do not allow Air Jordan sneakers either, but stylish gym shoes should fly. Due to the Hip Hop theme, they tend to be a little more relaxed on the attire. Ladies, anything goes except athletic gear and bare feet. Please keep your shoes on; if you can't handle your heels all night, then consider another pair of shoes. Walking around with no shoes is just asking for an issue.
Please use common sense. You're in Vegas; you're out for a night on the town, so dress appropriately in clothes that make you look good and feel good. We offer a complete guide to the dress code at all Las Vegas Nightclubs. If you have any questions about what to wear, we suggest you read it – it's everything you need to know before you go. No one wants to stand in long lines only to get turned away at the door because you didn't follow the dress code rules.
Vegas Dress Code GuideHouse of Blues and Other Live Nation Run Venues

The Live Nation experience isn't complete until you come back for a concert at the House of Blues. Both the Rooftop and the Concert venue are in the same hotel and it’s not uncommon for the artist and their entourage to hang out with fans for some drinks after the show upstairs on the patio over-looking the strip.
Live Nation Security

Security at the nightclubs is stringent. Before you enter, expect to go through a security checkpoint. You will be asked to empty your pockets/purses and submit to a full-on TSA airport-style metal detector wand. They also have a zero-tolerance policy for marijuana and hardcore drugs. Other prohibited items include vapes, gym, paraphernalia, liquids, and anything resembling a prescription pill. If you don't have proof that it's your prescription, they will make you toss it out or bring it back to your room. Please be sure to read our comprehensive Guide to Las Vegas Nightclub Security; don't risk being"86ed"or permanently banned from the property.
Big Tip: You must be 21 to enter and have a valid form of ID; pictures on your phone are not accepted, and neither are papers. International guests, bring your passport; your foreign IDs will not work here. The rules in Vegas are straightforward; NO ID means NO ENTRY.
What can't I bring into the venue?
Las Vegas Security GuideHere are some things that you will be either asked to throw away or go back to your room to deposit before coming back:
- Vapes – while weed dispensaries are extremely popular and vaping is in vogue, most venues will not allow vapes inside their premises and will ask you to leave it in your room or at the very least throw away the cartridge inside, even if it isn't a CBD cartridge.
- Camera equipment – the only recording equipment you are allowed to bring is the one on your phone. Digital cameras, selfie sticks, et al. are not allowed into the venue.
- Outside Food/Beverages
- Prescription medication (or anything resembling pills) – if you need a specific type of prescription medication while you are inside the venue, you will have to bring the prescription and explain what the medicine is for; otherwise, expect to get pulled to the side.
- Packs of gum – this only applies to day clubs, which tend to be a lot stricter about checking everything that goes into the venue, but guests have been known to try and sneak drugs inside packs of gum to get them into the venue, so expect to have your gum taken away at the door.
- Oversized bags – anything larger than a lady’s clutch will be denied into the venue. This applies to most backpacks, gym bags, totes, etc. While most hotels can hold onto your luggage at the bell desk
Foundation Room Restaurant

Foundation Room Restaurant features steaks & chops in a fine dining setting. The best part about dining here before visiting the venue is that you get priority check-in with your reservation we can bundle and great night out with one of our package deals.
Let's look ahead. What's happening on New Year's Eve 2024?

You can count on one of the big hitters from the Live Nathan Group to grace the decks for NYE. We are not 100% sure who it will be, but you can count on some over-inflated prices and a sell-out that is 💯percent. Hit us up for the early-bird specials on tables with views of the Sin City Fireworks!
Exploring Las Vegas Final Word

We know the club is old and a bit outdated, but the party is still good and the views from a-top the Mandalay Bay never get old. Just about every weekend the place gets slammed; on off nights they can struggle a bit and usually don't open all the rooms. The main room is a great setup, with the DJ in the center and a long bar area that acts as a dance floor. The bottle special we have is a great value and you will be sitting pretty fancy for half the cost of, say Marquee Nightclub, Zouk, or XS nightclub. I am here to answer your questions and help you with your Sin City club selection. I know Foundation well since I have been booking the place for 15 years, consider other deal clubs such as On The Record, Chateau, or Tao Nightclub, all of these venues have bottle packages.
